What we collect

• Account: your email address, used to sign you in with a 6-digit code. We do not use passwords.
• Receipts: the receipt photo is read to extract items, prices and the shop. We do not store the receipt image.
• Price tag and online-price photos: kept for 12 months as evidence of the price.
• Your lists, recipes and preferences.
• Basic technical data such as device type and app version, to keep the app working.

Price sharing

Product, price and shop details you contribute are shared anonymously with other users. Your shopping lists are private and are never shared.

How we use it

To run the app, show prices and deals, keep it secure, and improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to host data and read photos on our behalf. They may process data only to provide these services.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Email support@mdfamlabs.com. Midan is for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
